I had a lot of fun painting this Bretonnian knight and am thinking about getting another to paint and use for photography. It might look better too with an attempt at real heraldry rather than the joke heraldry I used on this guy. Then again there's so much else that I want to do I should probably focus my painting time on other things and just keep this in mind for a future project. There's certainly never a shortage of distractions to keep me busy.

DragonQuest - First Ideas
Happy new year, folks! Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted anything, busy times of course and I haven't had many opportunities to set up anything to photograph. I did take a bunch of pictures though of the model I painted for The Knights of Bal Timorea project knowing that I likely would not get a chance to in the future. Maybe I'll win the drawing and get him back but just in case I made sure to get my camera out for some quick photos. I have enough I think to put together a little story using these photos but I haven't had the time to work on that yet. Therefore I'm just posting these today for fun but I'll try to get back to working on this sometime soon. The original post in which I used some of the photos from this set can be seen here.

Spaceship and Planet
I can't find any of my painted minis for Battlefleet Gothic so this unpainted ship was pressed into early duty for these test pictures. I plan on making use of the various scales available for 40k-based games through the Specialist range and this is my first attempt at representing something that is supposed to be in space. The background seen in these photos was provided by my painting station and a plastic ball my daughter plays with so I'm confident it will look better with a proper backdrop and props.
