AdeptiCon is just around the corner and I'm pretty excited. I'm hopeful that it will get my 40k juices flowing again. I'm going to take one or two armies with me just in case I get the chance for some pick-up gaming. Considering the schedule of seminars for which I've registered, I doubt there will be a whole lot of time for anything but painting. Whatever happens in Chicago, at the very least it should be a good chance for me to break out of my routine and shake things up a bit. I'm confident that my 33rd year will be a good one and think this little excursion will set me up nicely for a good year of gaming.

Thirty Three
Today is my birthday! I'm thirty three years old... wow. To honor this day, Games Workshop has kindly released some long awaited plastic kits. I've been waiting for the Ork Kans and Dread for ages. This is great news for Ork players, but as a recovering one myself this feels like a bit of salt rubbed into the wound. I have no idea when I'll ever get around to doing an updated Ork army, especially now considering how low I am in my 40k-interest cycle. I wouldn't mind getting a box of the Killa Kans just for the hell of it. I actually think it's a surprisingly good price for three quality models. It's a hell of a lot better than the cost of the old metal Kans, and these ones are bigger too which is nice.
